- Under our appointment policy, U.S. citizens must bring proof of their full SSN: a Social Security card, clear photo, W-2, 1099 or tax document.
- Bring any agency forms, authorizations and the correct ORI or other identifiers requested for your specific service.
Follow your agency’s instructions
- The requesting agency determines the required screening route. A similar service name is not enough.
- For Florida Live Scan appointments, a TCN is provided by email after submission. Keep it to track the transaction.
- A completed submission does not mean a license or application has been approved. Follow up with your requesting agency.

Why am I going to a different website to book?

Do I need Florida Live Scan or an FBI report?
Follow the written request. Florida licensing and agency screening use their own submission instructions. A personal FBI Identity History Summary is a separate service and may not satisfy a licensing or employment requirement.
What is an ORI, and where do I get it?
An ORI identifies a requesting agency or screening purpose in the applicable process. Get the correct identifier from the requesting agency’s instructions. Do not guess an ORI based on a job title.
Do you use ink for fingerprint cards?
FD-258 card appointments use digital fingerprint capture, then print the fingerprints onto cards. Bring the recipient’s required forms and confirm that it accepts the specified card and process.
Will I need a photograph?
Some agency screening services require a photograph. The fingerprint technician takes it at the appointment when required. Follow the instructions for your selected service.
How long do fingerprints and results take?
A straightforward collection appointment typically takes about 15 minutes. Report processing, agency review and apostille processing happen afterward and have separate timelines. Check the estimate for the selected service.
Does every FBI report used abroad need an apostille?
No. The receiving authority and destination determine what is required. When an apostille is needed, the FBI report must be issued before federal apostille processing can begin.
How do I change my appointment?
Use the online reschedule link in the booking-confirmation email, up to two hours before the appointment. Review the cancellation and refund terms in your booking form before paying.
